These are some pictures I took in downtown Salt Lake City. First pictures are of the Olympic Legacy Plaza at The Gateway Mall. The second set are of the building posters that will be flown for the Olympics. The building posters are made of mesh to withstand 70 mph winds, enable the people inside to see out, and are 10-20 stories long. Please be patient while loading...some pictures required bigger size to appreciate them.
Olympic Legacy Plaza at The Gateway Mall in Salt Lake City. The water fountain design is the Salt Lake City Olympic Snowflake logo, with water jets. At times the fountain runs in time to music playing from huge speakers located around the Plaza. The bricks in the mall are available for a $50 donation which include engraving.

The mall is an outdoor mall, 2 stories tall. Set up like a town street running through the center. The second floor has an outdoor balcony running the full length. Access to the second floor is by stairs, escaltor, or elevator. Parking garages are located within the "town" with some parking being underground. The Mall is located across the street from the Delta Center (JAZZ basketball home) and is on the west entrance to the city.
