This picture was taken at my work of the employees who were volunteers at the Olympics. We all worked different venues and had different jobs.

And what has my experience been like as a volunteer?

Beyond any words I know to express it all.

It was a "once in a lifetime experience" and the memories I carry away will last me a lifetime and more. I hope my great grandchildren will someday read these words, look at these pictures and feel just a small part of what is in my heart today.

To see people from all over the world gather in peace and harmony, cheering their countries athletes and other countries athletes, to watch a child smile and laugh when a mascot waved, to meet and make friends with the world, to work hard, be so tired that you lose track of the day of the week, and to look forward to the next day. And sadness that it had to end....for now.

Thanks to my family and friends for their support and kind words the past two years.
